A Taste of Seattle

Chris and I had a wonderful weekend last week in Seattle.  Saturday we took the water taxi over to West Seattle where Chris showed me the houses he grew up in and the school he attended.  It was a perfect day for a walk along the waterfront.  That evening his mom and Jim treated us to a wonderful seafood dinner where we enjoyed Dungeness crab and scallops.

Sunday we spent the day at Pikes Place Market. Fish were flying through the air, the tulips were in bloom, and breakfast was the size of your head, literally.  From the top of the space needle we were able to see the Olympic Mountains and Mount Rainier.

The market was full of fresh cut Tulips
Chris sure enjoyed his Texas size Apple Fritter
