Santa Claus is Coming to Town

What a special Christmas we had this year, Santa really spoiled was!  Our first gift came early when my parents drove in to spend Christmas with us.  We were lucky to have them for the entire week.  Ava's next early gift came from our wonderful neighbors.  The afternoon of Christmas Eve our neighbor Julie and her daughter Lorelei brought over a princess tent that Lorelei used to play in when she was Ava's age.  Ava has had so much fun with her new tent.  It takes up half of our living room but it's so fun to see her peek out of the window.

Christmas morning we woke up to the smell of homemade cinnamon rolls and coffee, I think this might be our new tradition.  We let Ava sleep in until 9:00 before we went to wake her up.  We just couldn't handle the anticipation anymore.  Soon she will be waking us up a lot earlier than 9:00 so we better take advantage of these years.
Since we weren't sure what Ava would do with the presents we didn't put any under the tree until Christmas Eve.  When Ava walked out to the living room she was so shocked by the mounds of presents lying under the tree.  Her eyes lit up at the sight of her new car.  We probably should have saved that for last since she wanted nothing to do with any of her other gifts after seeing the car.
Eventually Ava opened the rest of her gifts and she was filled with joy over every single one of them.  She is so loved by our family and friends.

I think she is happy with her pillow and baby doll
We hope you all had as special of a day as we did and we want to thank everyone for making it such a special day for our family.  We are so excited about our new family traditions and we look forward to making new ones each year.

Happy New Years!
