Key West

Wednesday we drove the Overseas Highway across a 98-mile chain of coral and limestone islands connected by 42 bridges, one of them seven miles long.
In Key West we explored the shops on Duval Street and stopped to eat at Red Fish Blue Fish (a place Chris and I found on our honeymoon).  After lunch we took Ava to the Aquarium.  They had a touch tank filled with starfish, conchs, sea urchins, and horseshoe crabs.  Ava wanted to touch everything so bad but when she did she instantly threw them back in the tank.

After the aquarium we walked to the Lighthouse museum and Hemingway's House.  They had just closed so we weren't able to visit the inside but we still got some great photos from outside.
Climbing the tree like a monkey.
Next stop was the Southernmost point of the Continental US, only 90 miles from Cuba.  We, like one million tourists every year, stopped at the giant buoy for pictures.  We got some great pictures of the entire family together and some adorable pictures of Ava showing off for everyone.
Our cousins just so happened to be in the Keys the same week as us so we planned to meet them for dinner in Key West.  We went to the Southernmost Beach Cafe.  While we waited for them to get to the restaurant,  we walked the dock and put our feet in the water.  Ava was really having fun playing in the water.
