When it was just too HOT to go to the park instead we went to an indoor trampoline park with the same friends.
Most afternoons we would be found playing dress up in the house to beat the heat...
Or enjoying the swimming pool with friends. Dean found it very relaxing.
Ava is such a sweet sister, always wanting to cuddle with Bubbies.
In June, on our way home from Mimi and PopPop's, we stopped to see some of our friends who had just moved to Colorado Springs from Tucson.
Ava and Connor were excited to be reunited once again.
We loved BBQ'n and spending time with The Muley's. Ava and Benny always have a good time together.
All the fun exhausts Dean.
On our way to Tucson for a long weekend, the kids and I enjoyed a nice picnic on base while waiting for Chris to get off work.
These two love Aunt Candi and Uncle Nick's house .
We went swimming at Aunt Jenn's house...
Dean loved the water...
And the big boys had a water balloon fight with the neighbors and flip contest.
4th of July was spent with our neighbors this year. Ava had a great time playing with the sparklers and watching the bigger kids light off the fireworks.
We planted a salsa garden this year in Ava's garden patch. One of her chores was to help water the plants and pick tomatoes and peppers.
Our first harvest was a great one!! Chris made some yummy salsa with it.
Of course Chris and Ava had to have their annual camping trip in the backyard. This year they slept outside the entire night.
Dean and I cuddled and went to bed early that night.
Ava and Chris also went on a movie date together. They went to see Planes: Fire and Rescue and Ava loved it!! Everytime we see anything Planes she tells me she wants to watch that movie again on the huge TV with Daddy.
Since Ava did so awesome at the dentist office she got to pick a prize and she chose a pass to PuttPutt. Chris was excited to teach Ava his beloved sport but Ava had other plans.
She liked to hit the ball but would get too impatient if it didn't go in the hole the first time so she'd walk over, pick it up and place it in the hole.
I guess that's one way to play the game.
Dean discovered the playroom this summer and loves the kitchen. Ava likes to have the two of them sit in the diner and tell me I'm the "kitchen girl". Then she asks for more "cossee" or cereal or ice cream.
Ava wanted to be like mommy and asked me to put a tattoo on her neck. She was so excited we "matched".
What better way to wrap up the wonderful summer we've had then by one last swim in our pool.
