Jenn and Trevor came to visit for a week while the Balloon Fiesta was going on. Wednesday morning we woke up bright and early and made it down to the balloon grounds for 5:45 Mass Ascension. The weather was causing delays all week so it was no surprise to us when the balloons didn't go up when they were supposed to.
We waited...
and waited...
grabbed some donuts and waited some more...
and finally the green flag went up and the balloons were allowed to start inflating.
It was an amazing sight to see the balloons all going up at the same time. Since we've moved here we have only ever gone to the night glow because it was just too early but I'm so glad Jenn wanted to see the balloons take off. The next day Chris tried taking them to the special shapes night glow but the weather was so bad and it was cancelled.
