Egg Hunt and the Easter Bunny

This past weekend our wing had their annual Spring Fling on base.  First we had to make a stop at Bepa and Bubba's (our neighbors who just adore Ava) so Ava could show off her dress and basket, then it was off to the eggstavagant event.

Unfortunately the weather decided to be cold and windy so we had to bundle Ava up and hide the pretty dress mommy made for her but the fur coat Nonna Sherrie bought her went perfectly with it.  She rocked it nicely with her pink shades.  Easily the cutest toddler on the block!

Ava was a pro at egg hunting, she knew exactly what to do without either of us showing her.  After we picked up all the eggs her cute little chick basket could hold, we were off to meet the Easter Bunny.  I was a little nervous she would be scared of him but she proved me wrong.
Her friend Olivia was taking a picture with him and she walked right up to say hello.  And good thing she did because that poor bunny must have been hungry.  Ava was so sweet to feed him one of her eggs but he was still hungry so she picked some grass to feed him as well.  She's such a sweet and caring child.
I had some extra fabric so I made one of Ava's sweetest friends a matching dress.  They looked so cute together.  We will be so sad to see Amelia and her family leave next weekend.  The two of them have become such close friends but hopefully we will see them again at another base.
After egg hunting we had an impromptu photo session.  Ava wouldn't stand still to take a picture with Eliza and Amelia but aren't the three of them cute together!
