Happy Easter

What an amazing Easter weekend.  Mimi and Pop Pop (this is what Ava has decided to call my parents) made the drive to Albuquerque on Friday to spend the weekend with us.   Ava was so happy to see them but so sad to see them leave Sunday.  Monday Morning when she woke up she kept asking for them and looking down the hallway in hopes that they would appear.

The Easter bunny made a visit to our house this year and was extremely nice to Ava.  Our neighbor also came over with a basket and said the Easter bunny had left it at the wrong house. I think Ava was a little overwhelmed with all of the new things she got but very excited.  She especially loved the jelly beans and marshmallows.

After breakfast we took her outside for an egg hunt.  She loved picking up the "balls" and putting them in her basket.  I think we did it 2 or 3 times.

Beba and Bubba invited us to join their family for Easter lunch at the park.   What a perfect day it was to be outside.   I made an Italian Easter bread and deviled eggs to take.  We had fun watching Ava play soccer, swinging and of course playing in the sand. 

Ava was so excited to be able to hunt for eggs again.
