Thanksgiving in Tucson

This Thanksgiving spent with Nick and Candi in their new home.  Tuesday after Chris got off work we drove to Tucson.  Ava did great on the drive.  Our new car has built in video screens in the back so she was very content with watching movies.

Thursday morning Candi and I started cooking for our Thanksgiving dinner.  This was her first year to host Thanksgiving so it was extra special and we are so blessed they wanted to spend it with us.  Since Candi and I were making dinner the boys were gracious enough to make omelets for brunch.  And boy were the delicious.
Ava was a big helper also.  Her and mama bear watched the turkey for us to be sure it didn't burn.
We went all out on the food.  We had a turkey and ham, mashed potatoes, green bean casserole, corn pudding, apples and cheese, streuseled sweet potatoes and the most delicious red velvet cake I have ever eaten (recipe via Candi's grandma).

And of course you can't have Thanksgiving without a good dose of football.  Five days of football might be a little much but with these two guys in the same house their was no getting around it.
We can't wait for our next Thanksgiving with two of our best friends.
