The Big 3-0

When I was a kid I always thought 30 was old but I don't feel old at all. 

My morning started off with breakfast in bed from my wonderful husband and snuggles with my sweet lil man.  Then the doorbell rang with a delivery of beautiful sunflowers from my mother in law.  They remind me so much of my wedding bouquet.

After breakfast we went to the aquarium to show Mimi and PopPop the sharks.  Ava loves seeing the fish.  We didn't spend much time there however because Ava was too excited to get to our favorite cupcake place.  Mimi and PopPop treated us to delicious birthday cupcakes.  I was so lucky to have a sweet little lady as my date.

Chris came home from work early and cooked a us dinner.  We had salmon, asparagus and potatoes.  And for dessert, a Chantilly cake.  A few months ago when Chris' family was in town I bought this cake for a birthday celebration and it is now my favorite cake.

This year was a pretty mellow birthday but by far was the best birthday yet!!  My family made me feel so special and loved.
