We were invited to our neighbors for a Fourth of July BBQ. Karri and TJ barbecued up hamburgers, brats, ribs and had tons of sides to go along with it. We brought a homemade coconut cream pie for dessert.
The kids enjoyed playing (I use that word loosely) croquet while we sat back and relaxed.
After a game of croquet, Ava dressed up in Nonna's hat and sunglasses and then asked to have her picture taken.
Earlier that afternoon, Chris took Ava to get some fireworks. Before they left the house she told me she wanted a butterfly and heart firework. When it was time to start lighting them, she was so excited to show off the fireworks she and daddy picked out. They even found a heart firework.

Our friend Mike, drove down to Moriarty to get some good fireworks. All of the kids, young and old, had fun lighting their fireworks. We had the best show in town and didn't have to go anywhere but the driveway to see it.
