Pensacola Interstate Fair

The fair is in town with all the thrills, excitement and cotton candy you can handle and we weren't about to miss it!  As soon as we walked through the gates, Chris and Ava had to get the largest bag of cotton candy they sold.
Next it was onto the carnival games.  Chris and Ava raced in one of those water games where you shoot the target and the first one to the top wins.  Chris was so close to winning.  I tried helping Ava hit the target but we didn't do so well staying on it.  The carny gave her a prize anyways though so she was happy.
We met up with Ava's best friend, Faith, and her family for some rides.  The girls had such a great time riding all of the rides together.  And Dean even got to ride a few.  His favorite was the super slide.  He and I rode it three times before I could get him to go somewhere else.

This year the fair had a great line up of bands and one of Ava's favorite singers was going to be there.
After a few hours at the fair Chris and Dean went home and I surprised Ava with a mommy/daughter date to watch Frankie Ballard perform.  She was so excited to get to go to her first concert.
We had a great time together singing and dancing to all of the songs.  Towards the end of the show I took her down towards the stage to see if we could get closer and this lucky little lady got a front row seat.
On our way home that night I thought she would fall asleep but she didn't.  She was so excited from the concert that she didn't stop talking for the entire 30 minute drive home.  As I was putting her to bed that night she asked if she could be my concert buddy and I would take her to see him again.  Of course sweetie!
