I'm a little late on this post but at least it's getting done, right. A few weekends ago we had a wedding to go to in Seattle. It was for one of Chris' high school buddies. He was also a groomsmen in our wedding and Chris had a reading part in theirs. Since I knew we would be on a plane the following two weekends for another wedding I thought it might be a little much for me to go and decided to stay home for the weekend.
This was there first trip just the two of them and they did great. In the airport, Ava didn't want any help from daddy to push the stroller. "I've got this dad."
They got in late Thursday night to Seattle and Nonna Sherrie was there to welcome them. Friday morning, Nonna was excited to take Ava down to Alkai Beach to play in the sand. Auntie Cath also joined them for the afternoon.
That afternoon, Aunt Susie and GiGi came over for lunch. Auntie Susie brought over some orange cupcakes I heard were amazing. From the look on Ava's face I think she liked them.
Saturday evening was the wedding. I was there but I'm going to go out on a limb and say Chris had the prettiest date there, even with this cheesy grin of hers.
Monday could not come soon enough, I was so excited to see the two of them at the airport. A weekend without them was a little harder then I anticipated.
