Easter morning we all slept in before running to the living room to see what the Easter Bunny left for us. Somehow this year the Easter Bunny got a little confused and left 3 different baskets for Ava and Dean. It turns out he went to our neighbor's house and also Mimi and PopPop's before coming to our house. After watching the kids tear apart their baskets we went outside to see what else he left us.
After nap time we met our neighbors at the park for an Easter picnic and another egg hunt. What a spread we had, there was a table full of ham, fried chicken, tuna casserole and other main dishes, another table of sides and a third table with nothing but sweets.
The kids had a great time playing with Bepa and Lorelei at the park while the grown ups hid the eggs. We hid over 100 eggs for the kids to find, some filled with candy, some filled with confetti and a few special ones filled with money.
We are truly going to miss this family who has taken us in and treated us as if we were a part of it from the beginning.
