The base had its annual Easter Egg Eggstravaganza and for once it was a beautiful day, a little breezy but not a single cloud in the sky. We got the dress all dressed up in their Easter clothes and hoped in the car. Since we were a little early we visited with the Easter Bunny before the hunt. Ava was very excited to see him and give him a big hug but Dean wasn't so sure. He never cried but he wouldn't get very close to him when I tried to take a picture.
The hunt was about to start and Dean's age group was first so we walked over and found our places. Ava was a great little helper for her brother. She picked up the eggs and would bring them over for Dean to put in his basket.
Next was Ava's age group. She was grouped with the 4 and 5 year olds this year. I can't believe how big she is getting. There was a lot more kids in this group and she got a little intimidated but filled her basket.
After the hunt Ava showed Dean what you're supposed to do with he eggs. She opened them all and ate as much candy as she could before we headed home.
It melts my heart when these two are so sweet to each other. As we were walking to the car, Ava grabbed Dean's hand and lead the way.
